NO to the digital euro - EU receives negative feedback from the public

Feedback so far in the public consultation phase on the digital euro has been more than negative after only a few days.

During the previous consultation phase on the digital euro last year, Crypto lobbyist Patrick Hansen had already pointed out that the majority of people consider payments to be a private matter.

EU Economic Affairs Commissioner Paolo Gentiloni, however, countered that "a completely anonymous digital euro is not desirable".

A sample of feedback so far on the official website for the initiative indicates that there seems to be a general rejection of the project.
