There's the reality you think you know, and then there's the reality of how the world actually works. Throughout our childhood and while growing up we were all lied to. We were told we needed to go to university, that we needed a car, buying houses was and the latest electronics. We were fed a steady dose of capitalism that you could become happy by finally getting them. While having money can reduce stress in your life, the truth is that "stuff" will never make you happy in the long run.
We have been trained to constantly want and have an appetite or thirst that can never be quenched. As soon as you buy that new iPhone or pair of shoes you've wanted for years, you're already thinking about the next thing you want. Most of us understand that companies will do anything they can, even if it means lying, to convince us to buy their products. After all, many of us do live in a capitalist society. However, it is this type of attitude that has put many people in such a difficult financial situation. Going to university and taking out a huge loan for a degree that they end up not using. They use their credit card to spend money they don't have. It's an endless cycle.
And so the people who are in the worst situation seek help from the government. To finally pay attention to ordinary people. You will often see the president or other politicians state how things are incredibly difficult for people living in poverty. That they want to help them and level the playing field. But nothing ever happens.
The simple fact is that these leaders only want your vote. They want to be elected or they want to be re-elected. Although they will publicly say that they want to help people living in poverty, the reality is that they want to keep people poor. For example, if everyone was middle class or even well off financially; there would be no one to do the jobs that lower class people usually do. Societies rely on filling these jobs and without them they would quickly fall apart.
The government will tell you that it wants to help or protect you. But they just want to maintain the status quo. Which means the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Whenever there is a product or service that could be a real asset to retail buyers and put them on par with rich people, they are quickly removed. If you've been paying attention to the cryptocurrency market lately, you'll have been able to see this happening all around you. Betting and earning returns are considered too dangerous. Investing in the latest coins and ICOs is forbidden. Whatever they say, the truth is they don't want you to get ahead of the game. They want you to stay where you are.
One of the best examples of this is US dollar inflation. Those who save cash or have little or no savings are hurt the most by this. Usually their salary stays the same, but the cost of living always increases. That's why you can never seem to get ahead. On the other hand, inflation allows rich people to get richer. That's because they don't keep much of their wealth in cash. Instead, they buy assets that often greatly outperform inflation.
There was a time when all you had to do was go to work and save what you could. During that time, banks offered high interest rates and simply keeping your money in a savings account was a smart investment. Nothing else was required. Fast forward to today and in order to have any chance of retiring, we all need to become investors.
That's what's so attractive about bitcoin. With a fixed supply, an inflation rate that is always decreasing, and being incredibly secure, it makes it the hardest money the world has ever seen. It provides the opportunity for people to work hard again and keep their savings in bitcoins. Doing this will be enough to get ahead in life. People will no longer need to become expert investors.
The world seems to become a dark and difficult place. Just making ends meet is getting harder every day for the normal person. Bitcoin is the life raft and the safety valve. Once you've seen how the world actually works against most people, this is the day you finally escape the Matrix.
